Review by hotel critic
During my recent Easter stay at Domus Victoria Guesthouse in the heart of the Esquilino area, I was thoroughly impressed by the warm hospitality and thoughtful touches provided by the staff. From the outset, check-in was seamless, and our hosts made sure we felt welcome, offering a delightful breakfast tailored to our preferences each morning. The classic-style room was well-appointed with modern amenities, and the location allowed for easy walks to iconic sights like the Colosseum and Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. What stood out during our stay were the myriad of nearby ethnic eateries and charming shops that reflected the rich cultural tapestry of the region. As someone who appreciates local culture, I reveled in the opportunity to taste authentic South Asian and Oriental dishes, enhancing our experience in Italy. The communal kitchen was also a fantastic resource, allowing us to prepare simple meals when we wanted a quiet night in. With complimentary Wi-Fi and air conditioning, our stay was both comfortable and convenient, ideal for future visits with just my partner. Domus Victoria is a gem in Rome, blending history, culinary diversity, and personal warmth-making it the perfect base for exploring this enchanting city. I am already considering a return trip, perhaps for a romantic getaway sans baby.
